Taryn Root is a REALTOR® and Director of Operations at Olive + Oak Realty, proudly serving Elizabethtown, Hardin County, and the greater Fort Knox area. With more than 30 years of connection to the Elizabethtown community and roots in Hardin County since 2007, Taryn brings deep local knowledge, operational leadership, and a steady presence to every transaction.

As the wife of a retired U.S. Army First Sergeant who served at Fort Knox, Taryn understands firsthand the realities of military relocation and PCS moves. As a certified Military Relocation Professional, she helps service members and their families navigate buying and selling with clarity, structure, and confidence. Her experience allows her to anticipate timelines, lender requirements, and the unique pressures that come with VA loans and relocation.

Taryn is known for her transparency, integrity, and loyalty to her clients and team. She believes real estate is not simply about contracts and closings. It is about responsibility, advocacy, and guiding people through major life transitions with honesty and care.

Her journey at Olive + Oak began as a Real Estate Transaction Coordinator and advisor to owner Tara Still. Through years of collaboration and shared leadership, Taryn stepped into her current role as Director of Operations, where she oversees systems, compliance, marketing strategy, and transaction management for the brokerage. Her leadership ensures that buyers and sellers experience seamless communication and well-managed processes from contract to closing.

Beyond operations, Taryn is a strategic thinker with a strong eye for branding, marketing, and growth. She is passionate about mentoring agents, building efficient systems, and positioning Olive + Oak Realty as a trusted name in Elizabethtown and Fort Knox real estate.

Outside of work, Taryn values time with her husband and children, her church, and remains committed to serving her community with excellence.
